 Welcome

It is with great pleasure that we have you visiting our website. The Orangefield FFA was founded in 1935 and has been a thriving part of the community ever since. The FFA is the largest organization of high school students in the US. In Orangefield this year there are 116 members.

The members of the FFA are involved in every aspect of the program. This includes Agricultural Mechanics, Leadership Development Events, Career Development Events, Livestock Shows (Major and Local) along with several community projects.

The FFA Chapter is extremelly proud of it's heritage in Orangefield. The Agriculture Industry in Orangefield has changed tremendously over the years, but the FFA has withstood these changes. This year of 2007, with the largest FFA membership in the history of the chapter, is going to be one of the best years ever. So, come and be a part of the excitment.

 Meet The Ag Teachers

Eric W. Boyett   and Chad Jenkins

Mr. Boyett is in his 9th year of teaching and holds a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University.  Although he is a 7th generation of Hardin County, he has moved his family to Orangefield because it is a great community to raise his children in.

Mr. Boyett brings a broad range of experiences to the program that stem from his time served in the Marine Corps to working in the landscape industry in Houston.  He hopes the knowledge he passes on to his students will help them achieve all of their goals in life.

Mr. Chad Jenkins is in his 14th year as the Orangfield FFA Advisor. Mr. Jenkins is a life long resident of Orange County. He recieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 1991. Mr. Jenkins married his wife Windee in 1995, who is a coach at Orangefield Junior High, and they have 3 boys, Tanner, Tyler and Trever.

Mr. Jenkins says his favorite part about being an FFA Advisor is the students. In his words "You  never know what to expect." He feels that he is very fortunate to be at Orangefield where the students are great and the community is 100% behind the program!!
